A Pink Grapefruit Sangria Cocktail is a refreshing combination of ingredients that celebrates spring.
Here in the Northeast Spring has finally arrived and thank goodness because the winter hung on just a little too long for my liking. While Jackie and I enjoy the change of seasons, the warm weather is what we prefer. There are many reasons for that other than the obvious ones. We truly enjoy the nights we spend together sitting on the back deck, listening to a baseball game and sipping on cocktails.
This Pink Grapefruit Sangria Cocktail is perfect for just that kind of evening. Now don’t get me wrong. We love baseball and beer, but sometimes it is nice to partake in a lighter, less filling drink (especially on a warm spring evening). This one hits the spot perfectly. Jackie, in her creative wisdom, inspires me to create recipes that are sometimes out of my comfort zone. Working on this Pink Grapefruit Sangria Cocktail created a brand new “comfort zone” that I didn’t know I had!
The refreshing mix of fresh ingredients in this drink brings you to a place that makes you feel good about trying different libations from time to time. Citrus and mint pair perfectly with the rosé wine, and the vodka gives it a subtle bite to even out the flavor. I would suggest doubling the recipe and keeping a pitcher on hand just in case you have unexpected company. If no one shows up, well no harm there! Today we raise a glass to spring! Cheers from superman cooks!
