5 from 1 review

Just in time for summer, this Frosé recipe is a delicious drink that can add “punch” to any party. It's naturally sweetened with watermelon!

  • Total Time: 10 mins
  • Yield: 2-3 drinks 1x

Ingredients

Scale

For the Simple Syrup:

  • 2 C fresh watermelon, blended
  • 1/2 C honey

For the Frosé:

  • 2 C chopped fresh watermelon
  • 4 ounces simple syrup
  • 2 ounces vodka
  • 6 ounces rosé wine
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 2 C Ice
  • mint for garnish

Instructions

To make Simple Syrup:

  1. Blend 2 C watermelon in blender. Place in small sauce pan and add honey.
  2. Cook over medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and place through fine mesh strainer.
  4. Store in container in refrigerator until cool (for up to 4 days).

To make Frosé:

  1. Using a blender, place 2 C watermelon along with wine, vodka, ice, and 4 ounces simple syrup.*
  2. Blend until "slushy" consistency, about 45-60 seconds (add a little water if too thick).
  3. Pour into 8 ounce glass and garnish with watermelon wedge and sprig of fresh mint.

Notes

*Freeze slices of watermelon for about an hour before blending for an extra slushy consistency.
