Eggnog Cocktail with RumChata

There's no better drink to celebrate the holiday season than our Spiked Eggnog Cocktail. Like our famous Gin Fizz Cocktail, this spiked eggnog recipe is a signature holiday sip that everyone can enjoy. It combines eggnog, RumChata, Cinnamon Whiskey, and that all-important caramel drizzle. And it.s designed to be made in a pitcher that serves 4 to 5, so you have plenty to go around. Ingredients

  • RUMCHATA: this creamy liqueur contains dairy cream, Caribbean rum, and Mexican spice. It is perfect companion to eggnog.
  • CINNAMON WHISKEY: we like Fireball Whiskey or Fire Water
  • EGGNOG: we used store bought eggnog, but you can use homemade eggnog also
  • CINNAMON: ground cinnamon
  • RIMMING SUGAR: we like sweet cinnamon vanilla rimming sugar to complement this cocktail (optional)
  • ICE: crushed ice works best
  • CARAMEL SYRUP: we like a squeeze bottle type, like Ghirardelli Caramel Flavored Sauce. This is the best consistency to stick to the glass.
  • CINNAMON STICKS: (optional) for garnish

*see recipe card for quantities.

Instructions

  1. Mix Ingredients: In a small pitcher, combine RumChata, Cinnamon Whiskey, and eggnog. Mix.
  2. Drizzle the caramel syrup into the glass to allow it to drip down the sides.
  3. Pour the cocktails: fill glasses halfway with ice and top with drink mixture.
  4. Sprinkle with cinnamon
  5. Make a Cinnamon Sugar Rim: Rim glasses with cinnamon vanilla rimming sugar.
  6. Garnish with a cinnamon stick (optional).

🔪 Top Tip

If the alcohol is floating on the top, it means you have not mixed the drink enough. Stir the mixture together well in the pitcher until it is thoroughly combined.

What alcohol goes best in eggnog?

We are partial to the RumChata and cinnamon whiskey combination, but here are some other spirits that pair well with eggnog:
