Add a pop of color to your party with a Sparkling Purple Gin Cocktail! Empress Gin, Champagne, and Elderflower Liqueur blend for a refreshing, festive sip. With only 5 ingredients, it's elegant and sparkly, but super easy to make.
The holiday season is the perfect time for a pretty purple gin cocktail! Like our Empress Frost Fizz and Clementine Champagne Cocktail, this hand crafted Empress Gin cocktail hits all the right notes for entertaining. We like to make a few to share when our guests arrive, so we can all sip together as we catch up and cook!
The delicate, citrus flavors make it a great pairing for traditional Thanksgiving dishes. We love it with our famous Apple Cider Roasted Brussels Sprouts, but its clean flavors make it easy to sip with just about anything you're nibbling on as you prepare the holiday meal.

Why Empress 1908 Gin?
Empress Gin has the most beautiful, all-natural indigo hue that is derived from butterfly pea flower and other botanicals: juniper, rose, coriander seed, grapefruit peel, ginger root, cinnamon bark. It has a mild, classic flavor.
When you add tonic water or citrus (in this case grapefruit juice and champagne) to Empress Gin, it transforms from vivid indigo to a delicate soft violet pink.

FAQ
Purple gin gets its vibrant hue from botanicals like butterfly pea flower or other natural ingredients, which also add unique flavor notes.
Purple gin cocktails are best served in a chilled coupe glass with ice, garnished with edible flowers to complement their vibrant appearance.
Purple gin typically has a floral and herbal flavor profile, balanced with classic gin notes like juniper, citrus, and spices.
We love coupe glasses to create a fancy, festive look. You can also use martini glasses, wine glasses, or champagne glasses.
Yes! It will taste similarly, but your drink will be pink/orange. The Pea Flower Indigo gin is what creates the purple hue.
We like these Edible Cocktail Flowers from Amazon. You can also find edible flowers at farmers' markets or in the produce section at large gourmet food markets (near the packaged herbs).
Due to the complicated flavor profile of this drink, there is no mocktail version. We recommend trying our Lavender Lemonade instead.

Jackie says
Hi Sum,
thanks so much for stopping by! We bought the edible flowers in the produce section of our local market (Giant Eagle), near the herbs. The garnish sticks are either from Sur la Table or Williams Sonoma. We hope you enjoy the cocktail! Cheers!

Can you make a pitcher of this ahead of time and just add the champagne when ready to serve?
