Tangy Blood Orange Margaritas bring a little sunshine into every day.
We know that winter is still here, but it’s never too early to start thinking of summer vacation, family picnics, evening fires and all the summer activities we enjoy with family and friends. Winter citrus gives us a great excuse to do that. The beautiful color of blood oranges served as the inspiration for this bright and happy cocktail that is just what we need to get through the dark winter days.
Jackie and I are people who prefer the warm weather, sitting on the rooftop looking over the city with friends, sharing stories, and enjoying an occasional cocktail. We created this Tangy Blood Orange Cocktail for our friends at Fresh Up Your Life, and it was so good that we had to share it on superman cooks.
Whatever your favorite summer activities, this Tangy Blood Orange Margarita is one to keep in your recipe box. This drink screams fresh, light and refreshing. It starts with freshly squeezed blood orange juice, and its accented with fresh orange slices. We suggest serving this with some light snacks such as a fresh salsa with chips or a beautiful crudité plate. Make up a pitcher and bring a little sunshine into your life.

My hubs and I have made this recipe 4 times now and we.love.it! We live in Coastal North Carolina, and with our very mild days recently it’s been a must! (I tell him to just pick up blood oranges at the grocery every time he goes!) If you want to stray from the typical margarita, this should definitely be your go-to! Cheers y’all!
